First Annual

Fast Serve Contest

 

The 2008 tournament will celebrate its first annual Fast Serve Contest presented by Hillcrest Hospital. The tournament professionals will be competing for cash prizes on Friday evening at 5:45.


Tournament pros will attempt to qualify for the Friday evening finals throughout the day on Friday. The four players with the fastest serves will move on to the finals and a chance to win the $300 first prize.


Club members can also participate in their own Fast Serve Contest. For a $3.00 donation to Youth Challenge, club members can hit three serves and compete with members of their own age and skill level.


Prizes will be awarded on Friday and Saturday to the club winners in each skill category.

Justin Gimelstob
Confirms 2008 Entry



Justin Gimelstob is only four matches away from his first CRC Invitational title.

Former ATP pro and Grand Slam doubles winner Justin Gimelstob has confirmed his entry into the 2008 CRC Invitational.

After twelve years as an ATP touring pro, Justin retired from the tour after last year's US Open. He currently writes a blog for Sports Illustrated's online tennis section and has appeared as a roving reporter for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Justin will partner with former ATP touring pro and current Stanford assistant tennis coach Brandon Coupe.
